Frequently Asked Questions

  • Once the FlinkSign Board connects to your Wifi it acts like a standard Webserver. You can send commands to the Board using WebService / RS232 / ModBus to display custom content.

  • Yes we Support Indian Languages in Unicode Text. We have provided examples that will allow you to source data from DB or a Webservice that has Indian Language Unicode Text and scroll them on the board. These can be extended to your exact needs.

  • You can use Any Language of your choice that supports Webservices (HTTP Client) to send the commands. We provide Helper Libraries for Javascript to create the command packets. All The examples are available on github. You typically will run the examples on a PC or RPI on your LAN to send commands to the board periodically or in response to some event. If you dont want a local PC or Contoller, You can use Cloud Functions and URL Polling built into the board to get the realtime data from the Cloud.

  • For Certain functions like Clock, Timer, Modbus Reader etc you can setup message templates. This will allow the Board run Independently without the PC or Processor.

  • The board can be divided into windows and you can update each windows Seperatly. Ex: You can just update Price Information or Arrival Time etc leaving the labels untouched.

  • Yes, you can upload programs into the flash memory and recall them from Webservices API, ModBus , GPIO or RS232 Serial Commands.
